Mastering key pawn structures is the most effective way to learn positional play. This video series will consider Benoni formations, which can arise from various openings besides a traditional Benoni move order (1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5). Nigel considers several different types of Benoni formation including those with a blocked centre, the Modern Benoni and the Russian Benoni, examining strengths and weaknesses of each of them together with the plans available to both sides.
