QGD Janowski
The Janowski Variation of the Queen’s Gambit Declined (1 d4 d5 2 c4 e6 3 Nc3 a6) is an all-purpose defence against both 1 d4 and Flank Openings that is easy to learn and leads to active play. In recent years its value has been recognised by many leading players including Magnus Carlsen, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Dmitri Andreikin, Nils Grandelius and others.
